KREF loses Tramel: Berry Tramel has given up his afternoon drive show with the Ref Sports network, including KREF-AM 1400, and has joined the Sports Animal radio network as a contributor from 4:40 to 5:20 p.m., joining co-hosts Jim Traber and Al Eschbach. Although his contract expired with The Ref in mid-September, Tramel said he worked through last weekend's OU-Texas pregame show.

"I needed to cut back,” said Tramel, a columnist for The Oklahoman. "The three hours a day was starting to kill me.”

KREF program director T.J. Perry said he hoped to hire a replacement for Tramel in the near future.

ESPN news magazine to debut: ESPN will debut the prime-time news magazine show "E:60” at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The premiere will be followed by three one-hour episodes on consecutive Tuesdays. A team of ESPN journalists — Jeremy Schaap, Lisa Salters, Tom Farrey, Rachel Nichols and Michael Smith — will be the main reporters. The show will combine investigative features, profiles of sports personalities and stories on sports innovations. The program will include a glimpse of the reporters' experiences — pitching the story idea, creating storylines and shooting the interviews.
