Dave Mustaine, of Megadeth, announced this week that the band's July 16 “Gigantour” show at the Zoo Amphitheatre will be a tornado relief concert, with the band's proceeds benefiting the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.

“Many amazing bands have come forward to aid Oklahomans since the May tornadoes came and tore apart their homes and lives,” Mustaine said in a statement. “Now it's time for heavy metal to give to this community.”

In addition to the concert, which also features Black Label Society, Device, Hellyeah, Newstead and Death Division, the ASA Hall of Fame Complex will host an all-star softball game July 15 featuring Megadeth and other “Gigantour” band members, plus local celebrities and more to be announced. All net proceeds from the softball game will also benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. The ASA Hall of Fame Stadium, 2801 NE 50, has donated the field for the event. The suggested minimum donation for the softball game is $5. For more information go to www.thezooamp.com.
