CANCER CANNOT DO SOME THINGS
DEAR MELBA: Our fifth Oklahoma Children's Cancer Association Cookbook (OCCA) has arrived. This new cookbook includes more than 550 recipes from friends and families of children in treatment for cancer at Children's Hospital of Oklahoma Jimmy Everest Hematology-Oncology Clinic. We've included new recipes as well as several of the old favorites from previous cookbooks.
Most readers probably know the OCCA mission is to help children fight cancer through education, support activities and financial assistance. One of the first things you'll find in the book is a poem from an unknown author.
WHAT CANCER CANNOT DO
It cannot cripple Love.
It cannot shatter Hope.
It cannot corrode Faith.
It cannot destroy Peace.
It cannot kill Friendship.
It cannot suppress Memories.
It cannot silence Courage.
It cannot invade the Soul.
It cannot steal Eternal Life.
It cannot conquer the Spirit.
If anyone wants to check out our organization, our website address is helpkidsfightcancer.org. Or, if readers want to order a book, the cost is $16.50 per book, including shipping. They can be ordered from OCCA, Box 96292, Oklahoma City 73143.
