Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen's status was in doubt for tonight's Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to eye swelling suffered in Game 6. But Memphis coach Dave Joerger announced before Game 7 that Allen would play Saturday.

Allen came in contact with Caron Butler in Game 6 Thursday and woke up with swelling around his eye, according to Memphis Commercial Appeal sources.

Following Saturday's shootaround, the former Oklahoma State guard exited Grizzlies practice wearing dark, thick glasses and was accompanied by two Grizzlies staff members.

Joerger said Allen would not start. Joerger did not announce who the starter would be in Allen's place.

The Grizzlies will already be without starting forward Zach Randolph, who was suspended by the NBA one game for punching Steven Adams in Game 6. Point guard Mike Conley (hamstring) will also play tonight.
