Letters to moms
We featured many special messages from our readers to their Moms in Thursday's Mood section. Here are a few more that arrived too late for publication.
Mom does it all
Happy Mother's Day to the woman who takes care of a dog plus two kids (and dad) daily, feeds, loves, mothers, runs the house, pays bills, works, cleans, entertains, devotions and occasionally gets on Facebook. Without you Mommy, our family would be utter chaos and famine. I love you SO MUCH!!!

Mom (Lee Wallace),
Since you moved, on March 5, 2013, to your new home in Heaven, this will be the first Mother's Day I haven't had you. I'm so thankful for the 75-plus years of memories I have of you. You always were and still are my inspiration. Who I am and all that I have accomplished is because of you.
Happy Mothers Day, I Love You Mom!
— Georgia Altstatt
Mom's special trophies
You have often said that your greatest accomplishment in life was producing nine trophies ... your children. We are who we are today because of you. We thank you, Catherine Altendorf, for being a wonderful, loving mother and honor you this Mother's Day, 2013.
Love, Dennis, Kathleen, Kent, Andres, Tim, Cecilia, Luke, Christine (not pictured) and Carrie.
