Metal legislation may deter thefts at state's grave sites
Crime: Cemeteries report fewer bronze vases, other decorations have been stolen since bill was signed

Oklahoma cemetery industry leaders say they've been fighting thefts of bronze vases on grave markers for several years, coinciding with a sharp rise in copper prices.

But a bill signed last month by Gov. Brad Henry provides a deterrent to thieves that leaders hope will protect grave sites.
