Run to benefit medical research
EDMOND — Riley's Run to benefit research and raise awareness for eosinophilic disorders will be June 16 at Oakdale School, 10901 N Sooner Road in Edmond. Registration is $25 and includes a T-shirt. There will be a 5k race and a 1-mile fun run. Eosinophilic disorders are caused by an overabundance of white blood cells in the digestive tract causing inflammation and food allergies. Astronaut to visit science museum
Science Museum Oklahoma will hold its Science Days 2012 on May 4 and 5 at the museum, 2100 NE 52. The two-day event will feature presentations from NASA astronaut John Herrington. Herrington was a member of the crew for the space shuttle Endeavor. There also will be hands-on experiments, weather balloon and rocket launches. Group hosts spring dialogue
The Oklahoma City chapter of Americans United for Separation of Church and State will hold its annual spring dialogue from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Midwest City Library forum room at 8143 E Reno. The meeting is open to the public and will include discussion on the First Amendment along with the wall of separation between religious dogma and civil laws.
