MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — Miami was obviously disappointed after its season-opening loss at Louisville.
Florida A&M's pain might have been worse.
The Rattlers took the lead in their opener against Jackson State with 46 seconds remaining, only to lose the game on a tipped Hail Mary pass that became a touchdown as time expired.
The Hurricanes aren't hoping that this game comes down to the final seconds. Miami plays host to Florida A&M on Saturday night, the first meeting between the schools since 2010 and the resumption of a series that is predictably one-sided.
FAMU won the first-ever meeting between the schools in 1979, 16-13 at Tallahassee. All eight games since have been played at Miami, with the Hurricanes winning them all by a combined score of 413-49.
