BIRMINGHAM, Mich. (AP) — An Oakland County service organization is set to host its annual holiday-themed fundraising party.

Lighthouse of Oakland County's Lighting the Way for the Holidays celebration is to be held Sunday at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.

The third-annual event is to feature food, live music, a silent auction and a unique "decorating duel" in which two designers face off in a competition to determine who best can speed-decorate a trimless tree.

Both trees are to be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Lighthouse of Oakland County has been providing services to low-income families in the area since 1972.
