Microsoft buying Parature for undisclosed amount

REDMOND, Wash. (AP) — Microsoft is buying Parature, a provider of customer self-service software.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

"Parature is a perfect fit for every business and will enable us to offer customers one of the best cloud-based solutions for customer self-service," Bob Stutz, corporate vice president of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, said in a statement.

Parature has 70 million users globally.

Shares of Microsoft Corp. added 21 cents to $36.34 in Tuesday morning trading.
