Elementary and middle school students in the Midwest City-Del City School District are participating in STEM Camp sessions that began Monday.

A second session scheduled for June 10-13 still has openings.

The camp is designed to provide enrichment in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills.

Students will participate in activities such as making egg-drop vehicles, kites, straw rockets and roller coasters while applying math and science skills to complete engineering-based tasks.

Each day's project is a creative hands-on activity that engages students and helps them demonstrate problem-solving skills.

The cost is $25 per student.

For more information, call Tressa Wilson at 737-4461, ext. 1252.
