FBI agents are investigating the Thursday robbery of a MidFirst Bank branch in northwest Oklahoma City.

The bank at 13240 N May Ave. was robbed just after noon, Special Agent Rickey Rains said.

A man wearing a blond wig walked into the bank and approached an employee sitting at her desk. He demanded money and threatened to hurt her if she didn't cooperate.

The employee took the robber to the teller counter where he was given money. He ran away from the bank to the south. The man had visited the bank the previous day to ask about taking out a loan, Rains said.

No one was injured in the robbery.

The robber is described as a white man, 25 to 35 years old, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 170 to 190 pounds. In addition to the wig, he was wearing a dark gray or black suit, light peach or pink shirt and a tie.

Anyone with information about the robbery can call the FBI at (405) 290-7770. has disabled the comments for this article.
