Elks Lodge 1890, Midwest City’s chapter of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, at 8635 SE 15, will hold a cruise ship-themed comedy murder mystery and silent auction Aug. 16 to benefit its scholarship fund and community projects.

Guests will be served a buffet dinner at 6:30 p.m., featuring steak tips, teriyaki chicken, dessert, coffee and tea. A cash bar will be available.

The murder mystery will begin at 7:15 p.m., with a re-enactment of the comedy thriller, “A Cruise to Die For,” in which a murder takes place on a cruise ship stranded in the middle of the Pacific.

Tickets for the dinner and show are $30 for Elks members, their families and guests, and $32.50 for nonmembers.

Tickets are available for cash purchase at the Elks Lodge after 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Tickets can only be purchased in advance.
