Midwest City Elks Lodge to host murder mystery dinner fundraiser

Midwest City Elks Lodge fundraiser will benefit scholarships and community projects.

Elks Lodge 1890, Midwest City’s chapter of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, at 8635 SE 15, will hold a cruise ship-themed comedy murder mystery and silent auction Aug. 16 to benefit its scholarship fund and community projects.

Guests will be served a buffet dinner at 6:30 p.m., featuring steak tips, teriyaki chicken, dessert, coffee and tea. A cash bar will be available.

The murder mystery will begin at 7:15 p.m., with a re-enactment of the comedy thriller, “A Cruise to Die For,” in which a murder takes place on a cruise ship stranded in the middle of the Pacific.

Tickets for the dinner and show are $30 for Elks members, their families and guests, and $32.50 for nonmembers.

Tickets are available for cash purchase at the Elks Lodge after 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Tickets can only be purchased in advance.
