Midwest City Fire Department announces promotions

Jeffery Ingram: promoted from Senior Firefighter to Apparatus Operator. Ingram joined the MWC department in 22004 and is assigned to Station No. 2.

Don Johnson: promoted from Lieutenant to Captain. Johnson joined the MWC department in 2000 and is assigned to Station No. 3. He was recognized as the Ridgecrest Elementary School Patron of the Year in 2000-2001. When not working, he enjoys playing golf and mountain biking.

Josh Lane: promoted from Senior Firefighter to Apparatus Operator. Lane joined the MWC department in 2003 and is assigned to Station No. 2. When not working, he enjoys hunting, fishing and sports.

Jarett Metheny: promoted from Major to Shift Commander. Metheny joined the MWC department in 1995 and is assigned to Station No. 1. He has been honored by the Mid-Del 100 Club as Firefighter of the Year in 1996 and 2005. When not working, Metheny enjoys riding bikes, camping and his kid’s activities.

Kevin Miller: promoted from Senior Firefighter to Apparatus Operator. Miller joined the MWC department in 2002 and is assigned to Station No. 6. He is a member of the department’s Honor Guard and in December 2011 was a part of the ropes rescue off of the Choctaw water tower. When not working, he enjoys Jiu Jitsu and kick-boxing.

Reece Morrison: promoted from Ride Out Major to Assistant Fire Chief. Morrison joined the MWC department in 1996 and is assigned to Station No. 1. As a firefighter, Morrison has been a seven-time member of the department’s New Mexico Haz Mat Challenge championship team. He was also named Firefighter of the Year in 2007. When not working, he enjoys fishing and being with his kids.

Bert Norton: promoted from Lieutenant to Captain. Norton joined the MWC department in 2001 and is assigned to Station No. 2. He served as the President of the Oklahoma State Firefighters Association in 2011. When not working, Norton enjoys hunting, golf and fishing.

Eugene Sateren: promoted from Senior Firefighter to Apparatus Operator. Sateren joined the MWC department in 2002 and is assigned to Station No. 1. He was recognized for saving a girl from a pier hole.

When not working, Sateren enjoys hiking, attending his kid’s sports activities and Thunder basketball.

Robert Toney: promoted from Lieutenant to Captain. Toney joined the MWC department in 2000 and is assigned to Station No. 2. He served as a member of the crew that was honored as Firefighters of the Year in 2010. When not working, he enjoys participating in outdoor activities and sports with his six children.

Anthony Williams: promoted from Lieutenant to Captain. Williams joined the MWC department in 1998 and is assigned to Station No. 1. He served as an original member of the department’s Honor Guard.

When not working, he enjoys spending time outdoors, watching his kids play sports, reading and vacationing with his family.
