Jones was one of two state players who signed with Baylor. Lawton MacArthur's Tuswani Copeland was the other.

"Baylor's an upcoming place," Jones said. "The coaches have a plan and seem to be building for success."

Jones was an Oklahoman All-Stater this season, picking up 118 tackles, eight sacks and returning an interception 61 yards for a touchdown.

At 6-foot-2, 278 pounds, Jones feels like he can quickly find playing time along the Bears' frontline.

"That's what I'm working toward," Jones said. "I've got a plan to get my academics taken care of and I'm on track to be eligible if I keep doing what I'm supposed to do."
