Midwest City defensive back Will Sunderland received his Semper Fidelis All-America game invitation on Thursday, capping an already big week for the 6-foot-4, 195-pound safety.
Sunderland picked up scholarship offers from Nebraska and Kansas, following up an offer from Ohio State late last month as well. He now has eight offers on the table, including Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Tulsa, Arkansas and Kansas State.
Sunderland, a first-team selection to The Oklahoman’s All-State squad, had 98 tackles and five interceptions last season. He is ranked No. 4 on The Oklahoman’s Super 30 recruit rankings.
In other recruiting news, Westmoore receiver Dahu Green, 6-foot-3, 190, is up to 14 scholarship offers, with North Texas and Toledo the latest to come on board.
Kingfisher offensive lineman Kaden Jackson, 6-2, 265, recently picked up his first two offers, from North Texas and New Mexico.
The Shawnee duo of QB John Jacobs, 6-2, 220, and OL Tristan Wyatt, 6-5, 290, both got on the board with recent offers. Jacobs was offered by Troy, while Wyatt’s first offer came from Tulsa, a program that has nabbed quite a few big offensive line prospects in the state over the last few years.
