The Oklahoman's OU men's basketball beat writer Mike Baldwin answered questions from readers in today's Power Lunch chat. Read the entire chat recap here. Participate in our Power Lunch chats Monday-Friday at 11 a.m. at NewsOK.com/sports On defensive back/linebacker Joseph Ibiloye's role with Travis Lewis injured: Tom Wort said after practice on Tuesday that Ibiloye is his pick for breakout player of the year. We don't get to see practice but teammates say he's playing really well. He'll back up Tony Jefferson and Corey Nelson. And as you pointed out I think there will be a few packages, probably third-down packages, they will get him on the field. On the chances of Oklahoma joining the SEC: I'd say they're very slim. Reports we've been told is they would prefer to go to the Pac 12 if they change conferences. I'm in the minority but I still think the Big 12 will find a way to stick together. If A&M leaves they just need to add a 10th team, ideally Notre Dame or Arkansas but probably have to go with BYU. On whether Ryan Broyles is the best receiver ever to play at OU: Statistically it's not even up for debate. Broyles could finish with 400 catches, 5,000 yards and 50 TDs. Those stats might never be broken. He's not as big or fast or NFL good as some other receivers but he is a Wes Welker type who should have some success on the next level. On the OU running back battle: Coaches aren't tipping their hand on RB but if you read between the lines they really like Brandon Williams, the true freshman. His problem is he's still learning the offense. Roy Finch and Brennan Clay will play some in the slot in addition to RB. On linebacker Tom Wort's improvement from 2010: We're not allowed to see practice. But that's what coaches and teammates are saying. "Night and day" improvement has been uttered several times. We'll see. Opener is just a couple of weeks away.
