Mike Breen and Hubie Brown will call the Clippers-Thunder game on ESPN

Thunder will make second ESPN appearance at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday

ESPN is heavily promoting its 6:30 p.m. Wednesday telecast as the Thunder hosts the L.A. Clippers and former OU star Blake Griffin. Mike Breen, the network's top NBA voice, will call the game with analyst Hubie Brown and reporter Chris Broussard in the Thunder's second appearance on ESPN this season. “NBA Countdown” will precede the game at 6 p.m. with analysts Bill Simmons, Jalen Rose and Michael Wilbon.

The game also will air on Fox Sports Oklahoma with Brian Davis, Grant Long and reporter Leslie McCaslin.

SHORT TAKES

— Cox Communications will show the Class 6A semifinal showdown between Tulsa Union and Jenks at 7 p.m. Friday from Broken Arrow High School. It will air on channels 3 and 703.

— ESPN2 will air the OU basketball team's game against UTEP at 6 p.m. Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Old Spice Classic from Orlando, Fla. Jon Sciambi and Fran Fraschilla will call the game.

— FX will nationally televise the Tulsa at SMU football game at 11 a.m. Saturday with announcers Steve Physioc, Brian Baldinger and reporter Jim Knox.

— News Corp., which owns Fox, has acquired a 49 percent equity stake in the Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network (YES). The YES Network also announced a media rights agreement that will keep the New York Yankees on the network through 2042.
