Oklahoma State football: OSU coach Mike Gundy says poor play more disturbing than QB injuries

Here is a look at what players and coaches were saying after Oklahoma State's 44-30 loss to Kansas State:

* Offensive coordinator Todd Monken on Wes Lunt's injury: “You feel for the kids when that happens. You battle back and you come back and then you get knocked out. We'll just have to figure that out.”

* Coach Mike Gundy on the quarterback injuries: “It does upset you that other guys have to play, and there's only so many reps to go around. But turning the ball over, playing poorly on special teams and not tackling well in the first half is more disturbing than the quarterback carousel in this game.”

* Linebacker Alex Elkins on the approach moving forward: “We've just got to forget about what happened. You've got to have a short-term memory playing this game. That's what we're going to do. We're going to get ready for our next opponent. It hurts now, but after we get off that plane tonight, hopefully everybody's minds are clear and we're going to get a W. This is not satisfactory.”

* Defensive coordinator Bill Young on the game: “We really just felt like we had to play good. We had to play assignment sound and we had to tackle well. We didn't tackle worth a flip.”
