Do you think Bedlam football will play the same time as the Thunder game?

Most likely. The Philadelphia 76ers don't care about a college football game in Norman, Okla.

What Tyler is referring to is the Nov. 24 Thunder game at Philadelphia (6 p.m. tip Oklahoma time) and the Nov. 24 OU-OSU game in Norman (kickoff TBA). If the game means anything at all, it will be played at night.

No baseball in the Olympics is lame. Do you think they will ever get it back?

Possibly. I don't see anyone marching in the streets over it. Can't say I miss it much. It was never really that big of an Olympic factor to start with. Honestly, the greater injustice to competitors is softball. For them, it's the pinnacle of competition because of the absence of a legit professional league.

What do you think of NBC's Olympics coverage?

About what you'd expect. The delayed broadcasts have always been a problem and that problem is more evident due to changing technology. Confession: I watched Team USA basketball on a free iPad app -- that was pretty cool. They didn't have to make that free, so I felt like I got a pretty good deal. The Digital Divide, however, is highlighted at times like this. I've always thought Olympic broadcasts trended toward the hokey, nationalistic and untimely in the last couple decades. I miss Jim McKay.

What are your thoughts on how Twitter/Facebook/24/7 online news has affected the often tape-delayed television coverage of the Olympics this year?

If I want to really know, I can find out a lot easier. If I don't want to know and want to experience it "live," it's more difficult to conceal. If I'm out of the loop (no Twitter, no Internet access) I'm not sure much has changed. But for those of us who are wired it's made the delayed broadcast more and more absurd. I'm not sure it matters for beach volleyball or even swimming. But for Team USA basketball it's silly. They probably should have broadcast Sunday's game live. One other confession: I'm not the biggest Olympic TV watcher.

Thanks for the question, Aaron. Stay cool covering those Fighting Chicks' August practices.

You mentioned Bedlam possibly being a night game if enough is on the line. Brings up an interesting question. Has a Bedlam game in Norman EVER been played at night? The last few in Stillwater have been, but I can't recall any in Norman ever being at night.

The 2003 Bedlam game in Norman was a late afternoon kickoff and ended at night. I do not recall an after-dinner kickoff, so that's a good point. is that because TV didn't anticipate the games in Norman as being all the competitive? Since 2002 they haven't been. It is an interesting question.

Thanks for the questions. Enjoy the Brazil-US volleyball match!
