Military aircraft to fly overhead this weekend in the Oklahoma City area

The Tinker Air Force Base Star Spangled Salute Air Show and Open House will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Tinker Air Force Base.

U.S. military aircraft will be flying overhead Saturday and Sunday for the Tinker Air Force Base Star Spangled Salute Air Show and Open House.

The event is open to the public and admission is free. The events are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Tinker Air Force Base, according to the base’s website.

The public will be able to view aerial demonstrations of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the Wings of Blue Jump team, AWACS E-3 Sentry, KC-135 Stratotankers, a P-51 and a B-25 from the Oklahoma Museum of Flying and many others.

Visitors also can view military and civilian aircraft on the ground, including a B-52 Stratofortress, a C-17 Globemaster and T-1A Jayhawk.

Visitors are not allowed to bring weapons of any kind, alcohol, pets, fireworks, glass containers, illegal drugs, backpacks, bicycles and other items. Visitors will be subject to search by security forces at any time.
