Honored creator

Minecraft co-creator Jens Bergensten, is seen above attending the Time 100 Gala celebrating the “100 Most Influential People in the World” in New York in June, and Markus Persson were honored for developing Minecraft, which encourages open-ended, imaginative play.

“A lot of people are trying to figure out how to teach 7-year-olds to code, and it's a tricky thing to do,” wrote Will Wright, creator of the game “SimCity,” at time.com explaining why Time Magazine honored them. “Minecraft is one of the clear landmarks along that path.”
