Ministry partners for clothing drive
The Education and Employment Ministry known as TEEM is hosting a warm clothing drive with the help of several community partners in Oklahoma.
Earl's Rib Palace, Allegiance Credit Union and several local business are partnering with The Education and Employment Ministry, TEEM, to host Operation Winter Warmth, a warm clothing drive.
The clothing drive continues through Dec. 7 and will students involved with TEEM. The interfaith, nonprofit organization provides education, job training and job placement and social services to adults who are trying to better their lives.
Operation Winter Warmth is accepting jackets, coats, gloves, scarves, socks and shoes of all sizes to be able to provide clothing for the adults at TEEM. Those who drop off warm clothing donations at any Earl's Rib Palace location will receive a 10 percent meal discount.
“Earl's takes pride in supporting the efforts of TEEM, and Operation Winter Warmth gives us a chance to provide an important resource for those who are homeless and unemployed in Oklahoma,” Jamie Brown, general manager for Earl's Rib Palace in Bricktown, said.
“We are excited to have all of our Earl's locations act as drop-offs for the drive. It's very important to us to be able to support TEEM financially, because we know each dollar is spent educating adults to become more self-sufficient.”
