Miss America 2014 to speak at Oklahoma State

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — Miss America 2014 is due on the Oklahoma State University campus next week to talk about the importance of science, technology, engineering and math education.

Nina Davuluri is scheduled to talk about the importance of those subjects during a panel discussion Feb. 20 in the Stillwater campus' Wes Watkins Center.

Davuluri is a spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of Education's national STEM Coalition and says she plans to attend medical school following her stint as Miss America.

The event is free and open to the public. It will be followed by a question and answer session and reception.
