Mix and match: It's not uncommon for name, mascot to be different
If Thunder indeed is our team's team nickname, what's our mascot going to do? Run around the arena making rumbling noises?
Today's mascots aren't about matching the team nickname. Mascots are all about comedy skits, acrobatics and high-wire acts, not leading chants of "go, fight, win.”
