Brothers said via Twitter that he tore his labrum during the 2013 season but didn't realize it until spring football practice. Brothers likely played with the injury in Missouri's 41-31 victory in the Cotton Bowl against Oklahoma State.

Brothers was fourth on the Tigers in tackles last season with 70, and added 6.5 sacks and three interceptions.
