An Oklahoma City teenager accused of killing another teen Sunday apparently argued with the victim in the roadway before shooting him in the chest, according to court records.

Brajuan Napoleon, 16, was charged Thursday in Cleveland County District Court with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Alex Matlock, 17, of Moore.

An affidavit filed with the charge says witnesses to the shooting said the two teens were involved in an altercation about 12:45 a.m. in the 100 block of Kelley Drive in Moore when Napoleon pulled out a small handgun and fired one bullet into Matlock's chest before fleeing the scene.

Police investigating the shooting said witnesses told them the shooter lived in Del City. Officers said they contacted the Del City High School principal who identified Napoleon from a Facebook photograph and provided them with his name, date of birth and address.

According to the affidavit, Napoleon's mother called police a short time later to report her son was home and she thought he was wanted by police based on information his girlfriend had given her.

Police said they took Napoleon into custody after finding him in his bedroom, covered with a blanket. has disabled the comments for this article.
