Mom, two kids escape Oklahoma City house fire

A 31-year-old mother and her two young children escaped a northwest Oklahoma City house fire without injuries this morning, authorities said.

About half of the house at 2120 NW 25 suffered heavy smoke and fire damage, fire District Chief Richard Kelley said. The fire began shortly after 9:30 a.m.
Damage was estimated at $75,000. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
The house is in the Shepherd Historic District Neighborhood, between Pennsylvania and Barnes avenues.
