NORMAN — It’s finally game week.

Oklahoma opens its 2013 season at 6 p.m. Saturday on Owen Field against Louisiana-Monroe. Here are some links to stories around the Web on OU, ULM and the Big 12.

* Trevor Knight is the second Oklahoma starting quarterback from San Antonio. The first was Thomas Lott. I talked to Lott for this story in Monday’s newspaper.

* OU should beware of Louisiana-Monroe, writes my beat partner Ryan Aber.

* OU picked up its second linebacker commitment for 2014, California product Curtis Bolton.

* The Sooners enter 2013 relatively healthy, writes John Shinn of the Norman Transcript.

* John Hoover of the Tulsa World says Bob Stoops had better be right on Trevor Knight.

* ESPN Big 12 writer and former Oklahoman staffer Jake Trotter presents his preseason conference power rankings.

* Louisiana-Monroe quarterback Kolton Browning is staying humble entering his senior season, writes Tabby Soignier of The News-Star.

* Eric Bailey of the Tulsa World caught up with ULM coach Todd Berry, an All-State quarterback at Miami High in Northeastern Oklahoma. He talks about his hometown and Duck Dynasty.

* Berry and backup QB Brayle Brown are among ULM’s Oklahoma connections.
