BUTTE, Mont. (AP) — Montana Tech men's basketball coach Aaron Woliczko (voh-LICH'-koh) has announced the signing of two guards, including Brazilian exchange student Paulo Giacomelli, who played at Power High School.
Giacomelli played the second half of his junior and senior seasons due to eligibility issues with transfer rules and being an exchange student. The 6-foot-4 Giacomelli averaged 14.2 points, 13.2 rebounds, seven assists and 3.6 steals per game at Power, which won back-to-back divisional championships.
Tech also signed 6-2 guard Danny Hebert of Coronado, Calif. Hebert holds the career scoring, assists and steals records at Coronado High School. He was a four-year starter and averaged 16 points, three rebounds, four assists and four steals per game as a senior.
