Montana women hold off Montana St. 84-79 in OT

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Torry Hill scored 23 points, including seven in overtime, and had five assists as Montana topped Montana State 84-79 on Monday night.

Montana State got a 3-point basket from Kalli Durham followed by a steal and assist by Jasmine Hommes, who found Ashley Brumwell for a jumper to give the Bobcats a 72-67 lead just 50 seconds into the overtime.

Hill and Jackie Elliott then traded 3s before Montana (13-6, 7-3 Big Sky) went on a 10-2 run, during which Carly Selvig scored four points, opening up an 80-77 lead with 40 seconds left.

Brumwell hit a pair of free throws 13 seconds later to cut the MSU deficit to one before Hill knocked down two from the line with 26 seconds left, making it 82-79.

Durham missed a 3-pointer before a jumper from Cole iced the game.

Hommes led Montana State (11-8, 6-4) with 17 points.
