In a recent interview with TheFrisky.com, “Hairspray” actress Brittany Snow told blogger Jessica Wakeman that it was bullying that led to her battles with anorexia, cutting and depression, which she regularly white-labels as “mental health issues.”

The interview was set up to highlight Snow's involvement in the national anti-bullying campaign, “Love Is Louder.” She's urging people to tweet inspirational messages such as “#loveislouder than hate” and “I've felt isolated and hopeless, but #loveislouder than the pain.” Celebs including Pink and Vinny from “Jersey Shore” have spoken out with “Love Is Louder” videos, as well.

Snow told Wakeman, “When I was in middle school and high school, there was definitely a girl who was a bully who went as far as sending a note every day of different ways of how to kill myself, making dances about me and performing them in the lunchroom, putting them on fliers and throwing them around school, hitting me and throwing things at me. Every day. It was not just really good times. And that led me to have many other struggles later on, especially mental health issues that I've shared about at different times. It really did shape a lot of my growing up and how I thought about myself later on.”
