MOORE — Officials in Moore say a software company plans to open a facility and create 150 jobs.

The Moore City Council on Monday approved development plans for “The Pipeline.” The 17-acre development will be built on vacant land south of 19th Street. Officials didn't identify the new company but say it will anchor the new development.

A local newspaper reports the development will include a mix of residential and business space. The proposal also calls for a walking trail, parks and a pond.

Also Monday, the city said developers are considering building two new apartment complexes that would add up to 800 units to the city. Mayor Glenn Lewis says the apartments would provide housing to make up for some of the homes lost during the May 20 tornado.
