MOORE — A special way to celebrate Father's Day is the Daddy Daughter Dance on Saturday.
The Hawaiian-themed dance is for fathers and their daughters ages 4 to 14. Games, cookies and punch will be available.
“This is a great way for dads to spend time with their daughters this Father's Day weekend,” said Parks and Recreation Department special events coordinator Teresa Smith.
Smith said about 400 people attended the dance last year. Because of its popularity, there are now two dances offered.
The Aloha Dance starts at 5 p.m. and the Luau Dance at 7:30 p.m. Only 200 tickets will be sold to the Aloha Dance to prevent overcrowding. There is no cap on the number of tickets sold to the Luau Dance.
Tickets are $5 and on sale at the Moore Community Center, 301 S Howard and at City Hall, 301 N Broadway. Fathers and daughters are encouraged to buy their tickets before the day of the dance.
T-shirts will be sold for $10.
