More heat Friday in central Oklahoma, advisory issued in Tulsa area

Oklahomans are enduring another wave of hot weather. Temperatures will be near 97 degrees in Oklahoma City Friday.

Hot days will continue through the weekend in Oklahoma.

Parts of northeast Oklahoma, including the Tulsa and Bartlesville areas, are under a heat advisory from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Friday: Sunny and hot with a high near 97. South wind 13 to 18 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Friday night: Mostly clear with a low around 77. South wind 10 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Saturday: Sunny and hot with a high near 98. South, southwest wind 13 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Saturday night: Mostly clear with a low around 74. South wind 10 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Sunday: Sunny and hot with a high near 97. South, southwest wind 10 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 75.

Monday: Mostly sunny and hot with a high near 98.

Monday night: Mostly clear with a low around 75.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 96.

Tuesday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy with a low around 75.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny with a high near 94.

Wednesday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy with a low around 70.

Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 89.
