Copies of this true crime classic are getting hard to find. The book originally was published in 1957. It has been reissued from time to time since then. At present, has 10 hardcover copies in stock.

“Torso: A True Crime Graphic Novel,” written by Brian Michael Bendis and illustrated by Marc Andreyko

If you can find it, purchase the original 2001 edition of this gripping graphic novel. If not, go for the 2012 reissue, which offers a reformatted version.

“Hell's Wasteland: The Pennsylvania Torso Murders” by James Jessen Badal

This 2013 book examines the possibility that the Cleveland torso murderer extended his activities into Pennsylvania. Badal has written two earlier books on the slayings: “In the Wake of the Butcher” (2001) and “Though Murder Has No Tongue: The Lost Victim of Cleveland's Mad Butcher” (2010).

“Torso: The Story of Eliot Ness and the Search for a Psychopathic Killer” by Steven Nickel

Keep an eye out for this excellent 2001 account of Ness and the torso killer. It was released as a trade paperback but appears to be out of print. has only five copies available.
