More pleasant fall weather expected today and this week in Oklahoma

Sunshine, calm winds and mild temperatures are in the forecast for Oklahoma today, providing a preview of the weather expected throughout the entire week.
Today's highs in the low 70s and upper 60s will be slightly warmer than the rest of the week, but each day is expected to bring spectacular fall weather, according to the National Weather Service. The pattern should hold through the weekend.
Overnight lows in the state are expected to remain mostly in the 40s, but patchy light fog is possible in some areas, forecasters said.
Oklahoma City-area forecast
- Today: Sunny. High near 72. North-northwest winds 3 to 9 mph.
- Tonight: Mostly clear. Low around 46. Northeast winds 6 to 10 mph.
- Tuesday: Sunny. High near 68. East-northeast winds 6 to 10 mph becoming south.
- Tuesday night: Clear. Low around 49. South-southeast winds 6 to 10 mph becoming west.
