It's not unusual for sports fans in some cities to commit crimes in the name of celebration. It is, however, time for officials in Oklahoma City to crack down on this type of activity here. The joy of winning a game shouldn't translate into gang fights, shootings or any other criminal activity. When NBA basketball returns to Oklahoma City, the area outside the arena and into Bricktown should have enough police presence to deter any such criminal acts. Oklahoma City is a growing, vital city with a great future. It's time to rid the city of the criminals who use celebrations as an excuse to injure or threaten others.
