More than 500 flights canceled at Chicago airports

CHICAGO (AP) — The remnants of Hurricane Sandy have forced the cancellation of more than 500 flights at Chicago airports.

The Chicago Department of Aviation reports Tuesday afternoon that airlines have canceled nearly 500 flights to and from the East Coast at O'Hare International Airport. Delays at O'Hare were up to 90 minutes because of high winds.

At Midway International Airport more than 75 flights were canceled and delays were average 30 minutes.
