Beverly Bryant
University Marketing, OSU
Beverly Bryant is a communications specialist with University Marketing whose work appears in OSU’s official alumni magazine, STATE, and other locations. She came to OSU in September 2013 from The Ponca City News, where she had been the city government reporter and section editor since 2007, winning honors from The Associated Press, the Society for Professional Journalists, the Oklahoma Press Association, Ponca City Main Street and the Marland Children’s Home. Before that, she had worked for The Daily Oklahoman from 1987-2007 and 1976-80 as a copy editor, assistant day news editor, assistant features editor, assistant business editor and freelancer. From 1980-86, she worked first as a social worker assistant in Oklahoma County, then as an information representative at the Oklahoma Department of Health. She graduated in 1977 from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s in news communication and has taken graduate courses at OU.
