    A large grass fire in northwest Woodward county extended into Harper County. The National Weather Service in Norman issued a fire warning Woodward and Harper counties.

  • Six law officers to be honored in May at Oklahoma Law Enforcement Memorial

    The Oklahoma Law Enforcement Memorial will add six law officers to the memorial in May. Those to be honored are Oklahoma City police officer cadet Kelley Chase, 38; Burns Flat officer Kristian Willhight, 36; Washita County Undersheriff Brian Beck, 40; Washita County deputy Douglas Hanna, 44; McAlester police Master Patrolman Mitchell Weeks, 48; and Okfuskee County deputy David Allford, 37.

  • Woman found dead inside Cole, Oklahoma, home

    McClain County deputies entered a home after they smelled a strong odor of propane coming from inside the home. The 24-year-old woman was found dead inside her bedroom, McClain County Sheriff Don Hewett said.
