Those to be honored are Oklahoma City police officer cadet Kelley Chase, 38; Burns Flat officer Kristian Willhight, 36; Washita County Undersheriff Brian Beck, 40; Washita County deputy Douglas Hanna, 44; McAlester police Master Patrolman Mitchell Weeks, 48; and Okfuskee County deputy David Allford, 37.

    McClain County deputies entered a home after they smelled a strong odor of propane coming from inside the home. The 24-year-old woman was found dead inside her bedroom, McClain County Sheriff Don Hewett said.

    Norman police were called shortly before 8:40 p.m. Thursday in reference to a home invasion at an address on N Stewart Avenue. A man in his 20s was shot in the face during the altercation, police reported.

    Charles Keith Jackson, 56, of Fox, was arrested Wednesday in Carter County on a manslaughter charge related to a July 17 accident in which a pedestrian, Carol Coker, was struck and killed.
