Anthony Slater | Updated: Tue, Aug 19, 2014

Steven Adams and Hasheem Thabeet, OKC's two massive and fun-loving big men who seem to enjoy the quirky moments of life. But a couple weeks since this well-intentioned fad has hit the web and invaded Instagram pages across the sporting world, neither Thabeet or Adams have released a video. And they are in the minority among Thunder players. Eleven different guys on the OKC roster have had cold water dumped on their head for the ALS charity.

  • Report: Dropping Drake could have gotten Raptors out of Kevin Durant comments fine

    Published: Wed, Aug 13, 2014

This week, the NBA hit the Toronto Raptors with a $25,000 fine for rapper Drake tampering after he made comments about Kevin Durant potentially playing in Canada. But the Raptors could have gotten their money back, according to Cathal Kelly of Toronto's The Globe and Mail. Kelly writes that "the NBA offered to drop the tampering fine if the team agreed to strip Drake of his title. The Raptors apparently refused." Kelly's point: Money well spent for the Raptors in a league seemingly flush with rampant recruiting and tampering. From Kelly: "Somebody’s worried about it now. Someone has picked up a phone – likely Thunder owner Clayton Bennett – and chewed the face off someone else at the league office. The league reacted by cooking up a financial penalty for a musical entertainer guilty of musing in public about a professional athlete coming to play for his local team. If that’s the new normal, everyone in the hip-hop business had better start putting money in an NBA Swear Jar."
