    NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Grand Ole Opry, presented by Humana, honored six-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood on her fifth anniversary as an Opry member Friday evening, and the Checotah native celebrated by closing the first of two shows with a special segment full of her music.

After its exclusive premiere earlier this week on “Good Morning America,” I can finally embed here the official music video to Carrie Underwood’s soaring single “See You Again.” Like the song, the video boasts an inspirational message about love that lasts forever, and it features images of high school graduations, military homecomings and heartbreaking scenes of the Moore tornado devastation.

    7:00 p.m.: Country music awards show or not, starting out with Lenny Kravitz is never, ever a bad thing in my opinion. The CMT Music Awards are opening with a rock ‘n’ roll collaboration between Kravitz and tonight’s co-host, country music superstar Jason Aldean, on the Canadian band the Guess Who’s classic hit “American Woman.” Kravitz initially covered this song back in ’99, and even if they don’t seem to have all the kinks worked out up there, he and Aldean seem to be having fun.

The show, which will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena at 7 p.m. on CMT, will feature Underwood performing her current single, “See You Again,” and she says the song is just right for these times.

National television networks CMT, GAC, RFD, and FamilyNet, as well as local Nashville stations WKRN 2, WSMV 4, WTVF 5, WZTV 17 are broadcasting the funeral service live, with radio partners WSM 650AM and SiriusXM Willie’s Roadhouse (Channel 56) broadcasting the service.
