    Kings of Leon and The Flaming Lips will lead an all-star lineup performing at the “Rock for Oklahoma” tornado relief benefit July 23 at Chesapeake Energy Arena, 100 W Reno. The concert also will feature Jackson Browne, Built to Spill and special guests, according to a news release.

    In his usual colorful way, Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne sent out several Tweets @waynecoyne with Instagram photos revealing that his home near Oklahoma City’s Plaza District was flooded in Friday night’s devastating storms. He even tweeted out this morning a picture of today’s sobering cover of The Oklahoman, which unfortunately features another horrifying photo of a tornado.

This year for RSD, the Oklahoma City-based psychedelic rockers released a special vinyl edition of their experimental 1997 album “Zaireeka.” The box set includes four discs, designed to be played on cue and simultaneously, producing nothing short of a symphonic experience.
