Back in the Eddie Sutton heyday, an OSU basketball ticket was gold. Great teams. Miniature arena. Fabulous atmosphere. You got a chance to go see Sutton’s Cowboys, you didn’t let the tickets lie dormant on the countertop. That was then. Now, OSU is in the same pickle much of college basketball finds itself.

Mike Gundy relaxed his restrictions on transferring quarterback Wes Lunt but too late to give Lunt any concrete options beyond Louisville and Illinois, Lunt told Illinois sports station WFMB. Lunt is transferring from OSU to Illinois and sat down for an excellent interview on channel1450.com, a Springfield, Ill.-based outlet.

High school quarterback Mason Rudolph, who has pledged to Oklahoma State, has a great name. He also has the same name as a golfer from a bygone era. Mason Rudolph was a PGA Tour golfer from the 1960s and 1970s. My cousin Jimmie Tramel, who writes for the Tulsa World, reports that OSU’s Mason Rudolph is not related to that Mason Rudolph but was named after the golfer.
