• Bombing anniversary marked at metro prayer breakfast

    Twenty-one years ago, business men and women, local and state leaders and other dignitaries gathered for the annual CBMC-OKC Metro Prayer Breakfast, not knowing that their faith would soon be put to the test in dramatic fashion. About 1,500 people joined together for the prayer event in downtown Oklahoma City on Tuesday, April 19, with memories of that day in 1995 very much on their minds. The remarks shared by former Oklahoma City Mayor Kirk Humphreys, Gov. Mary Fallin and current Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett included references to the Oklahoma City  bombing anniversary.  Cornett thanked the crowd for gathering early in the morning for the annual prayer event.
