• NBA player's ridiculous two-dribble dunk

    Published: Fri, Aug 22, 2014

Giannis Antetokounmpo's nickname is appropriate: The Greek Freak. The Milwaukee Bucks' 19-year-old center turned in some per-game averages (6.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists in 24.6 minutes per game) as a rookie that put him in some heady company, according to Yahoo Sports. Now playing for the Greece national team as it prepares for the FIBA Basketball World Cup, Antetokounmpo's incredible athleticism was on display during an exhibition game against Turkey. With his team up 36-23 in the second quarter, the 15th overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft stole the ball at foul line, ran the length of the floor in two dribbles and finished with a one-handed dunk. Yes, Antetokounmpo covered just over 70 feet of hardwood needing only two dribbles.

  • Shaq answers the question: Kobe or LeBron?

    Published: Fri, Aug 22, 2014

There was a time not so long ago when Shaquille O’Neal would have been more than happy to take a free verbal shot at Kobe Bryant when given the chance, according to NBC Sports. But the feud between the two superstars that won three straight championships together with the Lakers has long since been quashed. These days, O’Neal is more interested in giving his honest assessment of things. So, when he was asked whether Kobe or LeBron James was the better player, it wasn’t too much of a surprise to see him give a somewhat diplomatic response.

Here is a picture of two professional athletes, both of whom are All-Stars in their respective sports. Kevin Durant is listed at 6'10". Jose Altuve of the Houston Astros is 5'6". He's the smallest player in Major League Baseball, but he's not that far off from the height of an average male human, Business Insider reports. This is your semi-regular reminder that we dramatically underestimate how crazy tall NBA players are. This sort of height is so rare that a full 17% of 7-foot-tall American males aged 20 to 40 play in the NBA, according to David Epstein's book "The Sports Gene."

If you would have explained the concept of the Ice Bucket Challenge, then had me predict the first two Thunder players to take part in the now-viral Internet trend, the guess would have been simple. Steven Adams and Hasheem Thabeet, OKC's two massive and fun-loving big men who seem to enjoy the quirky moments of life. But a couple weeks since this well-intentioned fad has hit the web and invaded Instagram pages across the sporting world, neither Thabeet or Adams have released a video.
