      Bette and Jim MacKellar celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a fantastic party for family members and friends at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club.  At the event were many original wedding party members including Tommye Smith, Kathleen Trautman, Bob Neville, Terry Curtis, Kay Fryer, Ginger Parker, Janie Cull, Joe Bailey, John Ellis, Ken Hemry, Woody Young, Clyde Amyx.    The reception table was complete with a replica of the original wedding cake, raspberry punch in a silver punch bowl, pastel mints and two five- prong silver candelabras with tall white candles. "I didn't RSVP but I came anyways." There were at least four of them signifying the four people who did not RSVP for a seated wedding dinner. But, my husband and I recently were hosts for our daughter's wedding reception where 50 people did not RSVP. Luckily, the food was served buffet style, but we could not figure out the appropriate number to give to the caterer.
