OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — New state-level data from the Social Security Administration shows that Mason and Emma were the most popular baby names last year in Oklahoma.
Mason took the top spot from Elijah, which dropped to No. 6 in 2013. Emma held on to the top spot, with 277 baby girls receiving the name last year.
Liam was the second most popular boy’s name in Oklahoma last year, followed by Noah, William and Jaxon. Elijah was sixth, followed by Hunter, Jacob, Ethan and James.
For girls, Sophia was No. 2, followed by Olivia, Ava and Isabella. Avery, Harper, Abigail, Emily and Addison rounded out the top 10.
Nationwide, Noah and Sophia were the most popular baby names last year.
